So we arrived late Tuesday night to Fruita and planned to ride all day Wednesday. We woke up kinda late, ate breakfast, and by the time we got in the truck to head to the trail head, the weatherman was talking about wind gusts up to 60mph!!! A crazy storm was rolling in and we decided not to risk it. It was a good thing we decided to head home when we did; we brought the storm with us and it started snowing here just when we rolled into our apartment lot. Check out these dark clouds! As usual, the pictures don't quite do it justice, but you get the idea. Mega-storm.
